Flows to 95 GPH, at 100 PSI This rugged, leak-free hydraulic diaphragm style metering pump is designed for precise metering and long-term dependability. It incorporates a deceptively simple stroke length adjustment which Pulsafeeder® has refined over the years of successful performance in the field.
Key Features Includes:
- The worm drive and eccentric translate the rotary motion of a worm shaft into reciprocating linear motion by a plunger.
- The plunger displacement (and pump flow rate) is manually controlled by a 0–100% adjustment mechanism accurate to ±1%.
- The motion of the plunger is transferred through a special hydraulic liquid to a diaphragm which in turn displaces the process liquid.
- The entire system is hydraulically balanced by three automatic valves for trouble-free operation.
- Product contamination and leakage are eliminated by the hydraulically actuated balanced diaphragm design.
- A no-drift stroke lock mechanism maintains the accuracy of the stroke setting.
- Long-term durability is achieved through the use of high quality materials in the drive train. The worm is of hardened and polished steel and the worm gear is made from Dynalloy® bronze.
- The pump mechanism functions under flooded lubrication within a large, sealed reservoir for virtually “wear-free” operation.
- Life of the pump is extended by the use of needle bearings at high load points.
- New high strength alloy technology and a seal-less double guided plunger are combined for extra durability.
Series® Disc diaphragm style reagent head assemblies are available with rugged PTFE diaphragms. Check valves have O-ring compression type seals and are easily removed for maintenance. (In most instances without disassembly of piping.) The HYDRATUBE style, developed in 1967, has a proven track record. Its straight-thru design makes it an excellent choice for high viscosity or slurry products. Standard HYDRATUBES use DuPont’s VITON®, HYPALON® or NORDEL® elastomers. Teflon® PFA HYDRATUBES and/or PTFE primary diaphragms are optional.
